Flea and tick prevention: tablets or a collar?

Galit Navon

Ticks seem worse than usual near the Carmel this year. We have used spot-on drops so far, but our dog swims a lot. Did you switch to tablets or a collar, and did your vet have a preference?

Our vet recommended tablets because we are at the beach a lot. No problems so far.

Whatever you use, check after every walk on the Carmel. We found two ticks last month despite treatment.
